Friday dinner<\/strong>
\nThere\u2019s perhaps no dining tradition more celebrated in Wisconsin than the Friday night fish fry. Nutz Deep II<\/strong><\/a>, a Marshfield institution with a colorful name, draws rave reviews for its food, and its fish fry has won the hearts of locals–in 2021 it was voted Best Fish Fry. Not into fish? The restaurant\u2019s signature burgers are also amazing. Their flagship burger, the Nutz Deep Burger, is a can\u2019t-go-wrong, but why not go big or go home? Take on The Pounder, two half-pound patties piled high with four cheeses, haystack onions, beef brisket, lettuce, tomato, saut\u00e9ed jalapenos, a slab of Mexican cheese, and finished off with a chipotle cream sauce.<\/p>\n

Saturday breakfast<\/strong>
\nThe Kitchen Table<\/strong> <\/a>has been serving up hearty and homemade breakfasts for more than four decades. The restaurant won the 2019 Best Breakfast award, and this is a place to go for all the classics\u2014buttermilk pancakes, hash browns, omelets and bacon. Don\u2019t worry–they\u2019ll be sure to keep the hot coffee flowing.
\nLater in the morning, stretch your legs with a stroll at Wildwood Park & Zoo<\/strong><\/a>. Be sure to visit the star residents of the zoo\u2014twin Kodiak bears Munsey and Boda<\/strong> <\/a>are always a delight to watch.<\/p>\n

Saturday lunch<\/strong>
\nSpice things up with a trip to El Mezcal<\/strong>.<\/a> This Mexican restaurant delivers south-of-the-border classics with flair, winning both Best Ethnic Restaurant and Best Outdoor Dining in 2021. \nAfter lunch, head to these must-see foodie shops: Weber\u2019s Farm Store<\/strong><\/a> and 2\u00bd Cups Cupcakery & Bake Shop<\/strong><\/a>. Weber\u2019s won Best Shop for Gifts in 2019 and sells an extensive line of cheese that\u2019s produced at this fifth-generation dairy.
