Kids\u2014and kids of all ages\u2014can make a splash at two fun attractions in Marshfield. <\/span>Wenzel Family Plaza<\/span><\/a> is a great community gathering spot in downtown Marshfield, offering fun events like live concerts and festivals throughout the year. On those hot summer days, it\u2019s also a good place to cool off, thanks to a kid-friendly splash pad.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vandehey Waters Outdoor Aquatic Center<\/span><\/a>, 1900 S. Central Ave., is a state-of-the-art outdoor water complex that features multiple waters slides, diving boards, a current channel, a lap and recreation pool and even a climbing wall. The aquatic center is open daily from 11am to 7pm.<\/span><\/p>\n

Ice cream & cold drinks<\/b><\/h3>\n

Visitors to Marshfield can also cool down with an ice-cold craft beer or a couple scoops of ice cream. The <\/span>Blue Heron Brewpub<\/span><\/a>\u2014housed in a former ice cream factory, coincidentally\u2014serves up refreshing pints of its flagship brands like Honey Blonde and Tiger\u2019s Eye (an English mild ale), as well as seasonal selections like its Sour Sipper series (made with a Berliner Weisse base) or the Doghouse Daze farmhouse ale. Local favorite <\/span>Nutz Deep II<\/span><\/a> has 20 beers on tap and consistently tops the city\u2019s Best of Marshfield lists for its burgers and fish fry.<\/span><\/p>\n

Treat your sweet tooth at <\/span>Hub City Ice Cream Company<\/span><\/a>, which serves up more than a dozen flavors of Wisconsin\u2019s own Chocolate Shoppe Ice Cream, as well as sundaes, floats, shakes, males, and slushies. Need a little caffeine boost? Head to <\/span>Uptown Coffee Company<\/span><\/a> on Central Avenue for iced coffee, mochas, macchiatos, and more.<\/span><\/p>\n
