SUMMARY:Iron Chef Competition
DESCRIPTION:The Shirley’s House of Hope (SHOH) Iron Chef competition will be held Thursday\, November 6th at 5:30pm at Hotel Marshfield.  Watch as local area chefs FACE OFF in a culinary competition and race against the clock to create the best dish out of a “surprise meat” for a panel of judges!  And YOU get to be the judge\, too! All guests will taste and evaluate each contender’s appetizer to determine which chef will receive the “2025 People’s Choice Award for Best Appetizer in Marshfield.” \n  \nThe four chefs who will be competing this year will include: \n\nChef Rob Arndt from Vila’s Farm to Table Mobile Food Service & Catering\nChef Katie McDaniel from The Hideout\nChef Bryan Rank from KamBray’s Mobile Restaurant\nChef Adam Winer from The Daily Special Food Truck\n\n  \nEach chef will win one of four awards: “Best Presentation\,” “Best Showmanship\,” “Most Creative\,” and “Best Flavor.”  But only ONE chef will win the 2025 People’s Choice Award for Best Appetizer.  This year\, our panel of (local) celebrity judges will include:  Everett Mueller\, City of Marshfield Fire Department Chief; Nicolas Kumm\, Marshfield Utilities General Manager; and Natasha Tompkins\, City of Marshfield District 3 Common Council Member. \n  \nOur goal is to raise $98\,000 for our shelter program.  Tickets for this event are currently for sale and can be purchased on our website at www.shirleyshouseofhope.org.  The event typically sells out\, so don’t wait!  Tickets include: \n\nA delicious meal including a slice of cheese cake from 2 ½ Cups!\nThe opportunity to watch our chefs compete in the 2025 Iron Chef.\nThe opportunity to taste test and vote on the 2025 People’s Choice Award for Best Appetizer in Marshfield.\nThe opportunity to donate to our SHOH Fund-a-Need during our Live Auction Paddle Raise.\nThe opportunity to bid on items in our online Silent Auction.\nThe opportunity to meet some of our former program students and hear stories about how their lives have been transformed by Shirley’s House of Hope.\n\n  \nShirley’s House of Hope is a Christian non-profit recovery center in Marshfield\, Wisconsin\, that exists to aid women and children affected by domestic violence and addiction. The proceeds from this fundraiser are essential to continue providing our vital services\, as we receive no government funding.  Since 2010\, over 600 women and children hurting from domestic violence and addictions have been given a safe\, nurturing place to heal at SHOH.

SUMMARY:Rotary Winter Wonderland Early Pop-Up Show
DESCRIPTION:Rotary Winter Wonderland is excited to announce a special “Pop-Up” Light Show to help our community during a time of urgent need. For three nights only — Friday\, November 21; Saturday\, November 22; and Sunday\, November 23 — the lights at Rotary Winter Wonderland will shine early to collect much-needed food and monetary donations for local pantries.\n\nThis early opening comes in response to an urgent call for help from local food pantries\, which are facing critically low supplies ahead of the holiday season. All food and cash donations collected during these three “pop-up” nights will be shared equally with St. Vincent de Paul and Soup or Socks to help restock their shelves and support families in need throughout the Marshfield area.
