Did you know Marshfield is home to a unique performing and visual arts venue that makes its home in a former Presbyterian church? The Chestnut Center for the Arts opened in downtown Marshfield in 2004 and offers a wide array of live performances, art classes, and exhibits to audiences across central Wisconsin and the state.

Founded in 2003, the center officially opened its doors in 2004 and is located in a former Presbyterian Church that’s across the street from Wenzel Family Plaza and the Upham Mansion.
The Chestnut Center offers art classes for adults and teens, as well as open studio sessions and a summer art camp. Performances at the center include musical acts, comedy shows, and live performances from local groups like the Marshfield Area Actors. The center’s art gallery features work from local and regional artists, and exhibitions change every couple of months.
